Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) who are the admissions authority for this academy. However, admission to the academy is organised through the Local Authority. The Local Authority is responsible for our September admissions, in-year admissions and the appeals process – please contact them directly to discuss any of these matters.
If the academy is oversubscribed, i.e., we have more applications than we have spaces in our academy, we will use the oversubscription criteria listed in the admissions policy for the relevant year, to allocate places. Where we are oversubscribed, we will maintain a waiting list. Please note, your child’s position on the waiting list may move up or down. The waiting list must be ranked in line with our admissions policy criteria and therefore the waiting list is re-ranked with each new mid-year admission request. Welcome to OIEA – Year 6 Students and Families!
We are delighted to welcome all our new Year 6 students and their parents/carers to the OIEA community. This is an exciting time as you begin your journey towards joining us in September, and we are very much looking forward to meeting you all.
To help with a smooth and enjoyable transition to secondary school, we have arranged the following important dates:
Year 6 Welcome Evening
Monday 29th June
Parents/carers and students are warmly invited to attend our Welcome Evening, where you will have the opportunity to meet key staff, learn more about life at OIEA, and ask any questions you may have about the year ahead.
Year 6 Transition Days
Tuesday 30th June & Wednesday 1st July
All Year 6 students are invited to join us for two transition days. These days will give students a chance to explore the academy, take part in activities, meet teachers, and start building confidence for September.
We can’t wait to meet you and begin this exciting next chapter together!
