COVID-19 Updates

As the COVID-19 virus continues to have a significant impact on all our lives, we hope that this page will provide you with relevant and up to date information regarding the measures in place at Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy. As ever, our intention is to ensure the safety of all members of our community and provide the best educational experiences for our students.

The Department for Education has recently announced that it will start a programme of asymptomatic COVID-19 home testing for secondary school students. Please read the letter below containing information regarding home testing and refer to the flyer below for instructions on how to perform a test.

Students should conduct the test at home, on either a Sunday evening or Monday morning and Wednesday evening/Thursday Morning. Once the test has been conducted please log the result at the two links provided below, the first for the academy and the second for Test and Trace:

  1. Log the test result with the academy using the online recording form Academy Reporting Link (if additional home testing kits are required these can be requested on this link).
  2. Inform Test and Trace of the test result using this link NHS Test and Trace. Tests are free of charge and will be provided by the school.

School children, college students, and staff should continue to be tested at school or college.
