RE: START OF NEW ACADEMIC YEAR


2023/2024 is a very important year for Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy and it’s one we are
looking forward to. Please find an overview of the important information you’ll need before September.


When will students return?

  • Year 7’s will start the new academic year on Tuesday 5th September and must arrive by 08.45.
  • Year 11 will start the new academic year on Wednesday 6th September and must arrive by 08.45.
  • Year 10 will start the new academic year on Wednesday 6th September and must arrive by 09.40.
  • Year 8’s will start the new academic year on Thursday 7th September and must arrive by 08.45.
  • Year 9’s will start the new academic year on Thursday 7th September and must arrive by 09.40.

Timings of the school day
Other than the first day information shared above, all students should arrive via the West End Gate
entrance by 08.25. Students who arrive after 08.25 will be recorded as late and be issued a same day
45-minute detention. The school day will finish at 15.00.

• Half Term 1: 5th 6th 7th September 2023 (depending on information above) to 27 October 2023
• Half Term 2: 6th November 2023 to 22 December 2023
• Half Term 3: 8th January 2024 to 16 February 2024
• Half Term 4: 26th February 2024 to 28 March 2024
• Half Term 5: 15th April 2024 to 24 May 2024
• Half term 6: 3rd June 2024 to 23 July 2024
