Anti Bullying

Even in a happy academy bullying can still happen. Here at OIEA we want to support the idea that everywhere should be free of bullying and we do the following to help prevent it. We have a selection of specially trained students who are available at lunchtime to talk to in addition to the members of staff who work there. If you are not confident about talking face to face to some one you can text 07564844642, email antibullying@oiea.co.uk or drop a message in one of the drop boxes which are located in reception, the library and the success centre

We here at the academy are supporting Erewash Youth Forum with Erewash Community Safety Partnership, campaign to stamp out bullying across the county. The campaign is called #startstandingup www.startstandingup.co.uk.  A number of our students have taken part in creating a video to be shown across the county to try and raise awareness of what bullying does to people.
